Friends of Longwood

The Longwood School and Nursery PTA

Who are we?
We are Friends of Longwood (FoL) and our aim is to raise additional funds to help and support both the school and nursery with specific projects and purchases which, in turn, will support our children’s education and overall experience at Longwood.
We achieve this by organising fun social events for our children and their families to attend, providing an opportunity for parents to meet each other and further enhance a sense of community within the school.
Everyone with a child at Longwood School & Nursery is an automatic member of FoL, as are all teachers and non-teaching staff.

How we work?
The Committee is made up of parents and/or carers and at least one member of staff from Longwood. In addition, we have Class Reps who provide an additional link between parents and FoL.
We hold regular Committee meetings where we provide updates on any ongoing events and brainstorm ideas for new social events. An annual AGM is held where the positions of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer are appointed.
Our aim is to build a sense of community at our school, through newsletters and social events. Check out our recent newsletters to see what we have been doing and what we have achieved and what we have coming up. Click here
We are always happy to welcome new members and greatly appreciate any support that anyone is able to give.

Our ambition
…is to help make Longwood shine even brighter!
