Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

At the top of the school your child will have developed a sound work ethic with talents and abilities sharply focused. Many year 6 pupils are given a position of leadership either on the school council or as house captains. We operate a 'buddy system' between pupils in the Reception and Upper Key Stage 2 classes.

Preparation is made for entrance examinations whether to well-respected local independent schools or the numerous excellent maintained schools in our area. We are proud of our success rate.

All children are given the opportunity to participate in overnight visits to France and activity camps.

Longwood has the feel of a home and the school community is a happy family, but as all parents know, children must fly the nest. We trust the start given to your children at Longwood will stand them in good stead for their lives ahead. We follow their future progress with keen interest.
